Associações de treinadores de futebol de três continentes reúnem-se em Albufeira para debater a criação de um organismo global

A convite da Associação Nacional de Treinadores de Futebol (ANTF, Portugal), representantes de associações de treinadores da Europa, América do Sul e África reuniram-se no dia 30 de março em Albufeira para uma reunião dedicada à reflexão sobre o futuro da representação institucional dos treinadores no futebol internacional.

O tema central da reunião foi a avaliação da necessidade de criar uma associação mundial de treinadores de futebol, capaz de salvaguardar os interesses profissionais dos treinadores e reforçar a sua posição no sistema futebolístico global. 

Durante as discussões, reconheceu-se unanimemente que é necessário dotar os treinadores de uma estrutura internacional que assegure uma representação mais eficaz, coordenada e institucionalmente reconhecida, em consonância com a crescente dimensão e complexidade da profissão.

Neste contexto, ficou acordado criar um Grupo de Trabalho Internacional, com o mandato de desenvolver e apresentar uma proposta para o modelo de governação da futura organização, bem como os seus estatutos.

A reunião marca, assim, o ponto de partida de um processo que visa estruturar uma plataforma internacional de cooperação e representação, com vista a estabelecer os treinadores como interlocutores qualificados e institucionalmente relevantes no sistema global do futebol.

Football Coaches’ associations from three continents meet in Albufeira to discuss the creation of a global body

At the invitation of the Associação Nacional de Treinadores de Futebol (ANTF, Portugal), representatives of coaches’ associations from Europe, South America and Africa met on 30 March in Albufeira for a meeting dedicated to reflecting on the future of the institutional representation of coaches in international football.

The central topic of the meeting was the assessment of the need to establish a world football coaches’ association, capable of safeguarding the professional interests of coaches and strengthening their position within the global football system.

During the discussions, it was unanimously recognised that there is a need to equip coaches with an international structure that ensures more effective, coordinated and institutionally recognised representation, in line with the increasing scale and complexity of the profession.

In this context, it was agreed to establish an International Working Group, mandated to develop and submit a proposal for the governance model of the future organisation, as well as its statutes.

The meeting therefore marks the starting point of a process aimed at structuring an international platform for cooperation and representation, with a view to establishing coaches as qualified and institutionally relevant interlocutors within the global football system.
